The company has developed and constructed a diverse portfolio of environmentally responsible power facilities, including 17 natural gas-fueled and renewable generating stations, both domestically and internationally. It has 2,500 megawatts (MW) in pre-financing development.

Tenaska recently completed construction of a second large-scale solar project, the 150-MW Tenaska Imperial Solar Energy Center West, in Southern California. In 2016, it started construction of the 925-MW Tenaska Westmoreland Generating Station, a natural gas-fueled combined-cycle facility in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Tenaska has also managed the design and construction of an approximately 85-mile transmission line that connects the Tenaska Kiamichi Generating Station in Oklahoma to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas grid and a 225-mile high-pressure natural gas pipeline and gathering system carrying gas from East Texas and Louisiana to five interstate pipelines.
