Tenaska, founded in 1987, is a privately held energy company that develops, constructs, owns and operates independent electric generating plants across the United States. Tenaska and its affiliates are committed to being good neighbors in the communities where its plants are located. To express the company’s commitment to education, scholarships are offered through the public high schools located in the counties with plant operations.
Eligibility guidelines and application requirements are detailed below. All requirements must be met for an application to be considered. The scholarships awarded in spring 2021 may be used only for the 2021-2022 school year. After that time, the money will be forfeited.
- Must be a 2021 graduating high school senior from a participating public secondary school who plans to attend a two- or four-year post-secondary education program at an accredited institution.
- Family members of Tenaska employees are not eligible to receive scholarship funds from this program.
