Kevin Smith is President of Tenaska Power Services Co. (TPS) and is responsible for the strategic direction and management of Tenaska’s third-party energy management, power trading and environmental products trading activities. He is a member of Tenaska’s Executive Leadership Board and serves on management committees for various Tenaska business units.
Before assuming his current role in 2012, Mr. Smith served as Senior Vice President of TPS and was responsible for the company’s long-term marketing and business development activities.
Under Mr. Smith’s leadership, TPS has become the leading provider of third-party energy management services in the United States.
Before joining TPS in 1997, Mr. Smith worked at Delhi Energy Services, Inc., where he led the creation of Delhi’s power trading business and directed that group’s activities.
Outside of Tenaska, Mr. Smith serves on the Engage Hope Ministries Board of Directors, the Southwest Power Pool Members Committee and the Electric Power Supply Association Executive Committee.
Mr. Smith has a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas.
