Thomas Hendricks

Executive Vice President & Co-Founder

Thomas Hendricks is Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of Tenaska and serves as a member of Tenaska’s Executive Leadership Board.

Mr. Hendricks previously served as Vice Chairman of Tenaska Capital Management, LLC (TCM), a Tenaska affiliate that managed private equity investments, using Tenaska’s proven financial, marketing, technical and operating expertise to invest in diverse energy and power assets in the United States.

With extensive experience in developing major generation and energy-related projects for electric and natural gas companies, Mr. Hendricks has broad knowledge of the electric power industry including the areas of technical assessment, conceptual plant design, project financial analysis and regulatory permitting approvals. He was selected as the first independent power producer representative to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Western Systems Coordinating Council, now known as the Western Electricity Coordinating Council.

Before co-founding Tenaska in 1987, Mr. Hendricks served as an executive with InterNorth, Inc. and with the Nebraska Public Power District.

Mr. Hendricks has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
