Tenaska scholarship program

Tenaska recognizes that being a leader is about more than financial success — it’s about being a force for good in the communities where our people live and work. That’s why we’ve established scholarship programs to help the next generation reach their academic goals.

Plant scholarship program

Established in 2001, Tenaska’s plant scholarship program provides academic financial assistance to high school seniors in communities where we operate natural gas and renewable energy generating facilities. Since its inception, Tenaska has awarded more than $1 million in scholarship funds to assist more than 1,000 students.

How to apply

If you are a high school senior in a community where a developed, owned or operated Tenaska natural gas plant, wind farm or solar farm operates, there may be a scholarship available in your area. Please reach out to your school counselor for more information. The application deadline for the 2023-2024 school year has passed. Scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year will open in September.
